And every time I step up in the building/ Everybody's hands go up/ And they stay there!"

Not gonna lie, it's getting a little tough to blog for 30 days. Amazing since I thought "oooh that would make a good blog post" about fifty times when I wasn't writing on here consistently but now that I am... nothing. So this was almost going to be a post about how I have nothing to write about. But then in a flash of genius, I realized that it's Monday!! So that means *drum roll* Music Monday! I present to you five songs I can't get enough of:

1. White Blank Page -Mumford & Sons. The whole album is pretty fantastic. Aside from their single Little Lion Man, this is also my favorite. Oh the emotion, the anger, the rage. And therefore my love.

2. All I Do Is Win -DJ Khaled. While unfortunately this was not UGA's theme song this season (actually it is probably more Auburn's since Newton has "money on [his] mind/ [he] can't ever get enough" HEY-OH!), I still can't get enough. If a rap song is ever stuck in my head, it's a good chance it is this one.

3. Innocent -Taylor Swift. I love this song. It's just so purdy. And it's T-Swifty. Nothing more needs to be said.

4. Just the Way You Are -Glee Cast version. Like I could have a MM without the cast of Glee. Pfft. But I looooove this one. It was so adorable in the episode. Oh Furt.

5. Deck the Rooftop -Glee Cast. Okay I lied, I had them on here twice. But I'm not in as much of a music buying frenzy as I usually am. This is a mashup of Deck the Halls and Up on the Rooftop. Not gonna lie-- the first few listens I thought they were singing "Deck the hallsies up on the rooftop" but far too longer for me to admit I realized it was "Deck the halls/ He's up on the rooftop". Still, it's a toe-tapper.

"Please don't be in love with someone else/ Please don't have somebody waiting on you"

The book I finished reading today had a kid in it who talked about blogging a lot. This reminded me of my little blog that has pretty much been all but abandoned these last few months. I'm sorry but honestly I am exhausted 24/7. However I am going to try harder to get back into writing on here. I want to make a big gesture and say a post a day for 30 days but I don't know if I can commit that much. But it's my over-the-top-goal. Plus, I am getting back into editing the book so maybe that will help me want to write on here as well.

So as a baby step back into the blogging world, in the final few hours of this Monday, I present a Music Monday! Woo! Woo! Five songs currently on repeat on my iPod:

1. I Was Wrong -Sleeperstar. I'm a music supervisor's dream. I fall for songs all the time cause they are used on these teen shows and they just fit the moment SO perfectly that I become obsessed and practically trip over my feet running to the computer to download it. This was used on the latest episode of The Vampire Diaries. Say what you will, but that show is awesome. And this scene. Sigh. Ian Somerhalder deserves an Emmy. The single tear. The emotional swell in the music. Sigh. I love him. And, you know, the show too. But really him. He may have finally swayed me to Team Damon. I know, I was shocked too.

2. Enchanted -Taylor Swift. I was extremely excited for Taylor's third album and this is the standout favorite in my approximately 100 listens thus far. But I also love Haunted, Better Than Revenge, and Innocent. Pretty much 9-12 on the album are golden.

3. Dancing On My Own -Robyn. Yeaaaahhh.... it might have been used on Gossip Girl. Whoops. I'm a sucker for the CW apparently.

4. The Ballad of You and I -Melee. This was either a Single of the Week on iTunes, a Starbucks pick, or a Discovery Download on the iPhone. Either way, I got it for free and I am LOVING it. It's a band I might be willing to take a risk on and download the entire album. But I freaking love this song this much that it bodes well for the rest of the songs.

5. I am preemptively saying "Teenage Dream" by Glee feat. Darren Criss on tomorrow's episode. I don't listen to them before the episode airs cause that's like reading the ending of the book first. You gotta save the best for last. But based on last week's preview, it's gonna be totally awesome. Speaking of totally awesome, Darren Criss was the star of A Very Potter Musical and Sequel on Youtube. I already professed my love once but the kid kind of blows Daniel Radcliffe out of the water. I luff him. He is amazing and I may have shrieked when I learned via Twitter that he was going to be on Glee. And while I fought liking Teenage Dream by Katy Perry for a long time, I eventually had to give in. And I am rather obsessed but Darren's version might take the cake. We shall see.

Okay, that wasn't so hard. See you tomorrow.... hopefully! :)

"When you call my name/ It's like a little prayer/ I'm down on my knees/ I want to take you there"

Happy Music Monday! How about a few of the current favorites? Okay!

1. Give Me Strength -Snow Patrol.

2. Gives You Hell -Cast of Glee

3. Cosmic Love -Florence + the Machine

5. Like a Prayer -Cast of Glee (feat. Jonathan Groff) Seriously, this is my most favorite. Like right now, if I could only listen to one song for the rest of my life this would be it.

Basically, Glee can do no wrong. I'm not even a huge Madonna fan and that episode was EPIC. I seriously love it and listen to the songs all the time. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Oh and the entire soundtrack to the Broadway musical Spring Awakening: Featuring the lovely Lea Michele from Glee and her new singing beau Jonathan Groff. Seriously I LOVE these two together. Its adorable that they are best friends in real life. I want to be friends with them too! Please?

"We were the kings and queens of promise/ We were the victims of ourselves"

Music Monday? Ooooookay!

1. Kings and Queens -30 Seconds to Mars. I'm a little obsessed with watching trailers on youtube. It's just so fun. So there was some 3-d, based on a kids book, animated movie called Legend of the Guardians. And the best part of this preview was the song. But I do LOVE it!

2. You'll Think of Me -Keith Urban. Since my sister's music dominates our desktop, I've gotten into country music quite a bit recently. And this one was actually sung on AI by Casey James (I got sucked in okay? And he is attractive and probably the one I am pulling for at this point). Luckily my sister had this one, saving me a dollar-twenty-nine, thanks to iTunes homesharing. Best invention ever!

3. Breakeven (Falling to Pieces) -The Script. I'm pretty sure I stumbled across them when they were a free single of the week. Well that or the song was on The Hills. Or maybe both. Anyway, I'm liking this Irish band!

4. Start a New Day (Never Look Back) -Zach Berkman. Yeah, yeah, maybe he was featured on a couple episodes of MIOBI but his songs always caught my attention and sent me scrambling for the iTunes store.

5. Edge of Desire -John Mayer. I finally came around on Battle Studies and this song gets a lot of the credit. Well this one and Heartbreak Warfare. And Half of my Heart with Taylor Swift. And Assassin. Those are the favorites!

"Suddenly I'm in over my head and I could hardly breathe"

In the final moments/seconds of today, let's have a Music Monday!! Here are eight songs I am borderline obsessed with these days:

1. Assassin by John Mayer. The hook in this song is INSANE. How he does it time after time, I don't know. I won't lie, I was if-y about his latest album, Battle Studies (still am to be honest) but this song is my hands down favorite so far. I want to hug this song cause I love it so much.

2. Seaweed Song by Passion Pit. Even though Sleepyhead is my standout favorite by Passion Pit, this one always catches my attention when I play through the album.

3. Don't Stand So Close to Me (Young Girl)- Glee Mashup. Glee is awesome (yay! Golden Globe winner!) and if Matthew Morrison is looking to settle down any time soon, he should definitely give me a call.

4. Sing Along -Virginia Coalition. I just love this song. I was actually listening to it before I fell asleep the other night and it was in my dream. So that was sort of awesome.

5. Are We There Yet -Ingrid Michaelson. I swear, every time I hear a song I like on a television show and I look it up, it is always her! I just love her!

6. I Don't Know -Lisa Hannigan. I am pretty sure this was a free download from Starbucks. And the fact that it was free just adds to the awesomeness. I always noticed Lisa's voice in Damien Rice's songs and she doesn't disappoint when she goes solo. The lyrics are so simple yet so true.

7. Tik Tok -Ke$ha. I know, I know. She uses a dollar sign in her name and she is ridiculous. But as hard as I tried to fight it, this song is catchy. Sort of like STDs and stomach viruses.

8. Lasso -Phoenix. Again, 1901 was the song that caught my attention (along with the rest of the world) but I always find myself listening to this one as well.

"Christmas time is here/ Happiness and cheer/ Fun for all that children call/ Their favorite time of the year"

Sure, it's five minutes past midnight and it's the last day of November (Happy birthday sis LA!) but why not do a Music Monday? And why not make it the top ten songs to get me in the holiday mood? In no particular order (along with YouTube links so you can give it a listen):

1. Linus and Lucy -Vince Guaraldi Trio. Come on, how do you NOT think of the Peanuts gang and that scrawny "Charlie Brown" tree when you hear this song? Love it!

2. All Alone on Christmas -Darlene Love. Gotta love Home Alone 2. It is also used in Love Actually, my favorite movie of all time. So this one is an all around winner!

3. We Wish You a Merry Christmas/End Credits -John Williams. A little love for the original Home Alone movie. Plus it has part of the "Russian Dance" from The Nutcracker and for whatever reason I loved that song as a kid. Well, I still do but I would dance the shizz out of that song on our hardwood floors in our old house pretending I was in the ballet (it formed a perfect stage). Sisters, you also took part and should recall this. :)

4. O Come All Ye Faithful -Mandy (Ihrig) Mann. Now this one isn't on YouTube but it is worth checking out. Not to name drop or anything (or maybe I do), but Mandy is one of my sister's friends and she has an amazing voice. If you click the link provided, then click on "Music" and then you can either: 1) Click "Tracklisting" under the CD cover art for the song title or 2) Simply click next/ fast forward in the music player and it is the second song. LOVE it.

5. Carol of the Bells -BarlowGirl. I love this song in general but this is the version I apparently liked the most when I downloaded it last year. Any version will do though. It's so intense.

6. Sleigh Ride/ Ice Ice Baby -Gap Commercial. This is probably still one of my favorite commercials of all time. I love it. And my mom asked me to load a Christmas cd my sister made a few years ago on our family computer and this was on it! I actually shrieked with delight. It's not really an official "song" but I'm sure you'll still dance around in your seat. Any song that incorporates Vanilla Ice has to be awesome right? Well, maybe this is the exception.

7. Tinseltown- SheDaisy. I was on quite the country kick back in the day and I always like SheDaisy. So, when they had a christmas cd, I said why not? And this one is catchy and very whimsical. The video is actually a house that timed their outdoor lights to the song, so... added visual bonus for you! :)

8. The Christmas Song -Nat King Cole. A classic. Nothing more needs to be said.

9. Santa Claus is Comin to Town -Frank Sinatra. Couldn't forget ol blue eyes on this list. And it brings out the kid in you.

10. All I Want for Christmas is You -Olivia Olson. Forget the Mariah version. This one is worlds better and the girl was like 10 years old when she recorded this. Unbelievable! It's from Love Actually and it's adorable and I love it!

"I'm gonna give all my secrets away"

In the vein of twitter, let's celebrate Music Monday. Not like I have much to contribute minus these six songs that I cannot stop listening to:

1. Keep Holding On -Glee Cast Version. Oh I already lost some of you didn't I? I know it's an Avril song but seriously, I love Glee and I think they did a great job. Hooray!

2. The Perfect Space -The Avett Brothers. Liking the new album. This one always captures my attention though when I play through the whole thing.

3. Secrets -One Republic. Anything with strings will always capture my attention. Well instrument-wise. Not like an actual string. I'm not a cat.

4. All Love -Ingrid Michaelson. A nice little ditty with some less than sunny lyrics.

5. Pony (It's OK) -Erin McCarley. Love love love this one. It's in the top 25 most played list. Very whimsical and inspiring. I like the Wizard of Oz imagery too cause let's face it, that movie is awesome.

6. Down -Jason Walker. I enjoy the male/female voice combination. I wish more artists featured this. Well maybe it should just be I should listen to more music like this. Duly noted!
